Marriage and Sex

Marriage and Sex

The norm is that Christians will marry and that as a Christian couple, the husband and wife will enjoy regular sexual relations.
A healthy sex life is a preventive for immorality.
Both husband and wife should regularly engage in the sexual act as their duty, both to God and to each other.
Both husband and wife should not only give themselves for sex, but each should seek to produce the ultimate pleasure for their partner. Reaching the ultimate pleasure is the sexual union is what best insures against immorality.
Neither the husband nor the wife has the authority to deprive their mate sexually. It is wrong to deprive one’s mate of the pleasures of sexual intimacy.
Those Christians who have been forcibly making a celibate of their mate by withholding sex are commanded to stop sinning in this fashion.
Sexual abstinence is to be a rare and temporary exception to the norm of regular sexual union.
Sex cannot be mutually satisfying without real love.
Spirit filled sex when each strives to please the other is important.
Sexuality and spirituality are very closely related. We are to make sexuality an expression of our spirituality to the glory of God, and for our good.

God’s Design Of Our Bodies In Creation

God’s Design Of Our Bodies In Creation

He designed us for union with Him and others. Our bodies have been created by God and are good. Our bodies reveal deep truths about the meaning of life. Through our bodies we make visible the love of God.
Our gender and sexuality were designed to lead us to joy, connection, life, growth, relationships, family, pleasure, children, and marriage. God must really enjoy these things to have planned for us to participate in them.
The human body is very special to God, it is an intrinsic part of who we are as human beings, it is the personal handiwork of God, there is no shame to be found in our bodies as God created them.
We are created to receive God, contain God, be one with God, and express God.
We are spiritual beings, personal beings, moral beings, rational beings, and creative beings.
Conformity damages the Spirit of God’s people, diversity rules, there are no two exactly alike. Re-creation comes only by new birth, a spiritual rebirth that enables us to be fashioned after God, who is spirit.
We are made for procreation, visual pleasure, physical pleasure, relief of physical and emotional stress, to comfort one another, and to sacrifice. Submission is a part of the overall being. We are made and challenged to bring us out of our comfort zone.
The sexual aspect of our being is to be restricted to the covenant of marriage.

Bible And The Holiness of Sex

Bible And The Holiness of Sex
Sex is romantic, tender, passionate, holy, reciprocal, fulfilling, and is about the Gospel.
Sex allows us to experience pleasure.
Love is mutual, exclusive, consuming, and beautiful.
Sex came from God and God has given good things to His children.
The expression shared between a married couple is akin to the love God has for us and gives us. His union with us is an extension of the union shared between husband and wife and is holy, fulfilling, and beautiful.
